Policies & Frequently Asked Questions

I'm so excited to work with you!

 Deposits must be paid within 3 days of confirming appointment date:

  • I understand if you need an extra day or two—just let me know and we can discuss further details! 

*I have other clients messaging me about similar days, so I try my best to schedule based on the order I receive requests.*

  • Deposits are required with no exceptions and are non-refundable.

  • If you can’t make it to your appointment for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible! We can reschedule or discuss other options.

Rescheduling:

  • I ask that rescheduling requests be made at least 48 hours in advance. Things happen, so keep in mind a last-minute cancellation is always better than a no-call, no-show.

  • Chronic rescheduling (rescheduling 3+ times in a row) or no-call, no-shows will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

  • That said, I completely understand that life happens! If an emergency comes up after the 48-hour window, just message me, and we’ll discuss all options!

Late Arrivals & No-Shows:

  • I offer a 15-30 minute grace period for late arrivals. This depends on how long your tattoo takes and the layout of other appointments I have that day.

  • If I’m unaware that you’re running late, I’ll assume you won’t be showing up. 

  • Emergencies happen—if something comes up, just let me know as soon as you safely can! While I do my best to accommodate delays, I can’t cut into another’s appointment because of it.

  • If you arrive more than 30 minutes late without confirming, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

  • If I don’t hear from you within 48 hours after a no-show, you’ll need to leave a new deposit to reschedule.

Appointment Reminders:

  • I’ll send your design between 9 am and 6 pm the day before your appointment! If you’d like any changes, please let me know at that time.

  • The day before your appointment, I’ll also send a reminder with:

    • The shop name + location

    • Your appointment time

    • Your design

    • Any additional prep info or reminders

  • Please like or respond to confirm the message. If I don’t receive a response to my confirmation email at least an hour before your scheduled appointment time, I will assume you are not showing up and send you an email to reschedule.

Payment Options for Deposits:

  • Venmo: @chloherm

  • Cash: If you’d prefer to pay in cash, you’ll need to come to the shop to drop it off and schedule a time with me to do so.​​

  • Lastly, if you’d like to bring a support person, drinks, or snacks, you’re more than welcome to! I always want you to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process.

Appointment prep

 

Here are a few recommendations to help ensure your tattoo session goes smoothly:

  •  Moisturize: For the week leading up to your appointment, keep your skin well-moisturized!

  • Shave (Optional): If you’re comfortable, shaving the area beforehand is appreciated but not required.

  • Stay Hydrated: Hydrated skin accepts ink better, and you’ll feel more comfortable during your session!

  • Avoid Sunburns: If the area is sunburned, it’s unsafe for me to tattoo, and we’ll need to reschedule.

  • Dress for the Tattoo: Wear something comfortable and practical for the location of your tattoo.

    • For example, if you’re getting a back tattoo, consider wearing a flannel, zip-up hoodie, or similar top that you can easily wear backward.

    • If you’re unsure about what to wear, feel free to ask me!

  • Skip Lotions and Oils: Avoid applying any lotions or oils to your skin on the day of your appointment.
